July 8, 10am to 3 pm Generating Function: A generating function is a representation of an infinite sequence of numbers as the coefficients of a formal power series. Generating functions can be used to solve complex problems in counting, probability, and algebra. We'll introduce generating functions and take a look at a collection of application problems using generating functions. (Students who have completed algebra 2) Students will bring their own lunch and drinks to camp. |
